I haven't bought any "Christmas presents" for my self.
If I need/want something, I buy it regardless of the season. My wife and I buy small gifts for one another but we buy Christmas presents for our kids and grandkids. Best, PJ

Definitely yes. My birthday is right at Christmas. There were a number of years that my parents, due to the fact of having 8 kids, forgot my birthday. And I have for years had no one to give me presents for birthday OR Christmas, so YES, I do buy myself a birthday/Christmas present.
I actually save up to do it, because, as it is the only present I will get, I want a good one. And I have somewhat expensive tastes. A single high-end eyepiece for my telescope costs $1000+; a top Italian air hammer in the $1000 arena. And so on. I have a 1958 vintage armagnac that I bought for myself for Christmas years and years ago. It was $400 for the bottle. No one is going to buy me something like that. It is now valued (if you can even find one) in the $2000 ball park. Not sure when I will open it. I did open the 1948 vintage when I retired. WOW.

LOL - nope, but I make sure not to buy myself anything extravagant before the holidays. I also put the stuff on my list I know my wife is not willing to buy so that I can buy it after the holidays.

My wife asked me if there was something I wanted for Christmas and I couldn’t think of a single thing I want. At 66 years of age I’ve gotten to the place in life that I have what I want and need. If there would be something that I might like to have I just buy it. I am definitely more in the “reduce the inventory” stage now.
