Ricky’s Mom/ Original
I wrote this song about 5 years ago. Song is about my old friend Rick, his Mom and memories. We graduated high school together. He moved to Texas soon after and lost contact for 45 years. Rick was a awesome Musician. Guitar,Bass & Drums. In the early 70s, He was the only guy that had a quality guitar. A 1960s Martin D-18. I tried contacting Rick a few months back. I was heartbroken to find out Cancer took him 2 years ago. But did find out Rick loved God,Family and has many friends and never stopped playing Guitar. Hi Sage,
Great story, and lovely song! Your guitar playing on this tune is so hip, love the solos in between phrases, and the mid section solo. RIP Rick!!! And also to Rick's Mom! Great photo! You are a great friend, and a beautiful tribute to a good friend! Thanks for this, Sage! Rene
