Happy Advent: O Come Emmanuel
I started recording this many years ago and over the years have added a few more instruments to create an orchestrated version. The video footage is from around Castle Combe in Wiltshire (a popular destination for film makers) and Colerne where I lived.
There are a number of instruments on here, none of which I own any more. They include: Brook Tavy (yew back and sides 660mm scale length) playing the main fingerpicked accompaniment part in CGCGCD Brook Tamar- this actually is heard on the 'synth' like sounds- it went through a Strymon Big Sky with a heavy reverb setting, but only the wet signal is heard Brook Lowman- acoustic bass (of all my Brooks this was the one I really didn't want to sell, still regret selling it and would love to have it back one day) Weber- Yellowstone octave mandolin Old Wave- 10 string mandolin Belgarth Bodhran Hope you enjoy it
