Hana (thanks for the inspiration Dustin!) - almost done, just polishing it up
it is easily one of my favorite tunes to play. It makes me sound better than I am Just got Doug Young's DADGAD Christmas so that will give me lots to work on also broke out the nylon classical for some of those songs also just ordered the skeptical guitarist (thanks to all who suggested that one) I figure I'll start reading up on theory over the winter

Hope you enjoy it! Let me know how that works on a classical. I actually have just gotten that book out myself, some Christmas shows coming up, and I need to brush up on a few tunes!

Dusting off Doug's Christmas book is a good idea.... Especially now that I have the Avalon. Should be interesting.

An adaptation of Phil Ochs' ''Here's to the State of Mississippi'' for these times, using Phil's opening from ''I Ain't Marching Anymore''. There are over 20 new verses available online. I want to choose 4 or 5 and sing it for my jam group before the election.
I'll bring earplugs for those who don't want to hear it! |

I've only been playing for about 18 month so I'm just trying to get better, period. However this is my list of songs I'm working on learning:
The Weight - The Band Run - George Strait Best Shot - Jimmie Allen Romeo & Juliet - Mark Knopfler Landslide - Fleetwood Mac IDK, maybe they're a little beyond my abilities at the moment but I like learning them because there's both finger style and strumming there. |

I was in California this summer and drove from Monterey to Visalia and then to LA through Bakersfield. From somewhere in the back of my head I heard the song most of the way.
I'm working on a fingerstyle arraingement of California Cottonfields on the Telecaster. It's comming along nicely. |

I am working on some rhythm exercises and fine tuning some right hand techniques. I will be performing in both December and January so am practicing some of my own songs.

Working on Robben Ford type blues/jazz stuff and David Gilmore acoustic stuff. Mixed in there is bass, drums and figuring out Ableton. Fun on a bun! Music is great!
