Default Ibanez Andorra GA-400s Recital guitar

After playing my friend's 1979 Andorra 2856, I got interested in this series, then found the recital model in the Andorra series, a GA-400s, for very low $. Sure, it had a wine spill in the interior., but it was a very good wine.

This one doesn't have Ryoji Matsuoka's signature on the tag, as some do, but I understand he was instrumental (ok, no puns eh?) in the execution of this design and production. Solid top, rosewood sides and back, beautiful craftsmanship, and very LOUD. Maybe he stepped out for sushi and they shipped it before he got back to sign it...

Since then I've tried several string types, D'angelico J45's, and recently Savarez 520R.

I like this guitar a lot, and my friends drool over it.

Anyone else have experience here with this series and what they may have discovered works? I've posted on other Classical forums and am beginning to get a sense of this guitar's undiscovered virtues.
