I am SO impatient to hear this Constellation #1. This is my new shape called "Small OM". I'll talk more about it, after her first appearance at the Salon International de Guitare de Québec International Guitar Show

I finished this guitar during a 15 days Masterclass, at Michel Pellerin's workshop. I did that to finally start to make my own finish myself, and definitely, this is one of the best experience & decision of my Life as Luthier.

Nut & saddle, are roughly made. The action is higher than the final setting, and the tension is on the strings (but slightly underpitched). It is time, to let this beauty sleep for a couple of days, and to finally set it as best as she deserved!

The amazing François Pelletier / Guitariste-Compositeur will play it live, the last day at the last showcase of the Salon on October, 3rd. It will be a sunday, definitely a funday!

She represent, all the hardwork & precious advices, I've had at Michel Pellerin's Finish Masterclass. Definitely, she's Gold to me!

Professional studio Pictures will follow in a couple of weeks!

Bonjour Ben

Is that a new (ish) headstock design ?

Guitar looks very nicely built and finished.
Can I play it at the Salon International de Guitare de Québec ?

Hey Daniel!

The headstock design is the same than my usual one, but it is less wide. The Constellation Libra Pattern is on it.

It won't be possible to play it at the show, because I want to avoid any scratch and it is impossible to judge a guitar in that noise... but you will be welcome at the workshop to play it as you want, in a quiet environement, with a good dram of fine Whisky

It would be nice if you would relay what defines a "small OM".

It is a crossover beetween my OO and OM Shapes, an "entre-deux" model.

The bracing of the guitar, is not an hybrid like I have on my OO model, because I hate to overbrace my instruments. So, I wanted to have a model who could have a small shape, but a pure X bracing... and here it is!

The body is deeper than a OO too, even deeper than an OM. We could say it is a deep body, but I've always made my guitars deeper than the usual

The Wenge is incredibly attractive.
I convinced Brondel to build me a guitar from Wenge.
He and I are glad it happened.

Can’t wait to hear it.

Wenge is my favourite wood and Ben certainly gets the most out of it. Definitely worth the splinter risk.

Fred, M Sarad:

Yes, wenge is such an incredible wood. In terms of aesthetic, and sonically speaking, this is insane. I've never had any splinter's issue, but I am very carefull. its biggest problem, is when you want to finish it. This is such a pain to fill all the pores, that's why it cost $$$ in option

#FridayIsFunday... especially this one! The small OM is done, she is absolutely glorious! It's Time for a cosy week end with chocolate, and coffee!

I installed a Savarez 12/53 light Bronze set, and I am really happy about the result. It is very similar to Cremona Mondomusica 2017 days, when I installed a set on the first OO-12 I've made. Not disapointed, at all!

Pre-show days, always are very stressful for me... and since I've had to cancel The Sonore Festival, I want to be more than ready for "The Salon International de Guitare de Québec International Guitar Show"! I am 120% satisfied with the guitar. All the bets I've made, paid as best as they could be. Come to say "Hi" at my table if you are in the Quebec area!

Extraordinary work, as always, my friend. Thanks for sharing it with us.

But, I'm rather disappointed. I thought we'd agreed that you'd send any new models to me to play for a year before introducing the guitar to the public? Fortunately, you can remedy your failure by sending this beauty to me.
