The guitar is in excellent condition with no structural issues. Cosmetically, I would say this one is 9 out of 10 with one small ding on the binding of the upper bout. No other significant blemishes to note as you can see in the photos. The guitar comes in the original custom fit Cedar Creek Tweed case which shows a bit of outside wear but only what you would expect in a nearly 12 year old case. All latches and handles work perfectly. I am available to give an in-hand description and answer other questions by phone.

Thanks gandhi85! Dream Guitars apparently sold this Applegate SJ #83 for Brian when brand new and there is indeed a sound sample from their site, link below:



The Dream Guitar listing also notes the top wood to be Port Orford Cedar and I have updated the OP specs to reflect this. (I was told it was Sitka by the previous owner).

Thanks Dustin! I have owned 3 Applegate SJ's over the years and they have all sounded consistently great. Your excellent demo of the cedar-cocobolo Applegate SJ at Cedar Rock Studios is a fine example of the Applegate sound:

Heck of a nice price on this Applegate. I've owned several of Brian's guitars and they are extremely nice and sound beautiful. This one being part of Doug's stable tells me that is is extra special.

Hey Mike, thanks for the nice comments. We've certainly done our fair share of guitar swapping and selling. I share your high opinion of Applegate SJ's and why not, he learned from one of the best - Jim Olson.
