Camel bone bits
I have read and heard that Camel shin bone is harder than most good bone for nuts and saddles, somewhat greasy and thus self lubes.
Can Anyone here confirm this? Alan, was that you??? And, does anyone have suggestions on where to get hi quality oversized bone blanks for saddles? 1/4”x 3/4”x 2 3/4” or so? Camel bone even better, Thanks all Paul

Sorry, but camels are pretty thin on the ground here in southern England.
I believe that Bob Colosi sells some camel bone products.

I only use dinosaur bone for saddles. The more extinct, the better for tone.

There are an awful lot of bleached and unbleached bovine nut and saddles and blanks available on aliexpress for very little $. There are also came bonel nuts and saddles. I haven't seen camel bone blanks there but I wasn't really looking, there may be.
