Default scales

Know how to play a G-scale major and minor from the top of the fretboard. How to play 'm lower on the fretboard, start with A etc.?

Leen,
I'm betting we have a communication problem here....I for one cannot fathom what your question is? If you can play a G major and minor scale from the first position/fret (assuming you will fret the strings that are currently being played open in the proper postion), then you can play the A (at a minimum) starting two frets lower (further down the neck)...the whole fretboard is a movable solution....at least in standard tuning (EADGBE).

Did I give an answer which matches your question???
