I'm not a Sox fan, but this has been a very impressive display so far.

That's the spirit.

As an aside, my niece has worked as an usher at Fenway for several years. I'm looking forward to seeing her 2nd World Series ring!

The Sox are 10 games ahead of the Yankees.
Yep, the Yankees are having a great season. I wonder when the last time a team was the 2nd best in baseball and 10 games back of first?

Read about Red Sox catcher Sandy Leon a couple of days. He's now 25 wins in his past 26 starts. Just an amazing stat.

If I had to guess, probably the when the Mariners won 116. I doubt another team that year won more than 106. Winning more than 105 is pretty rare.

Well, I'm a huge Pats fan too (all NE teams) and the crash at the end of 2007 was much worse than the fun of the ride... at least for me it was.

That makes sense and you're probably right but I meant to say "I wonder when the last time a team was the 2nd best in baseball and 10 games back of first in the same division?"

Cubs will be better when KB comes back.

They're in first place in the NLC without him.

Default Phillies

I see my Phillies are trying to give it away. At least they are playing better than everyone thought.

Why would they want to pick up Jose Bautista? They just did today, after he spent time with both the Braves and Mets this year.

Red Sox are having a tough time and just gave up 4 games in the standings to the Yankees.

Well, the Sox tried hard to lose last night, but the Marlins’ gloves wouldn’t let them. All teams have slumps. All teams play some ugly games.

But the bullpen is starting to scare me. Kimbrel blew another slave.

The Yanks are 6 games back in the loss column. The Sox and Yanks have 6 games still to play.

I have no clue except they didn’t give up much to get him. I’m still not sure they got a value especially after cespedes. They need to add a bat but now one on the downslide.

I feel bad for Aaron Nola. 2.10 ERA and hardly any run support.

I'm really happy my Cardinals finally got it together. They've been fun to watch this month.

Hopefully they'll have a team in 3-5 years! Tough with the Canadian dollar in the tank though.

I thought the Red Sox would blow it last night but 11 runs in the 7th inning - wow. I hope Price is ok after getting hit by a ball.
