Default The Girl From Ipanema (fingerstyle)

Here's my arrangement of the sun-kissed, classic Bossa Nova tune "The Girl From Ipanema". took me awhile to get the bridge worked out but was very, very worth it!
Recording chain explained in description of Youtube video, played on my beloved Beneteau Model M

Sounds good. Macassar ebony? I have one of those.

It was advertised as Macassar when I first bought it, but when I asked Marc directly he said it was Mun ebony, which has identically shaped tree trunks and similar density to Macassar, not usually as colorful though. It looks much more like old-growth Indian rosewood than most ebony b/s I've seen.

That sounds better than "good." That sounds wonderful! That has to be the most appealing arrangement of that song I have ever heard! I have always loved this song, but now I love it even more! Very well done, Dustin!!

Very nice!
The last few summers I’ve tried to play that a few times, usually when I’m playing outside and it’s hot. You play it MUCH better than I do but now i think I’m gonna bust it out now this weekend and take another run at it

That's lovely, Dustin. Very well done and very tasteful. Wonderful rhythm... nothing like a good bossa nova.
