Congrats Toby!

I have a J-35 that was probably the first one The Music Emporium ever had.
It is definitely an early one, and sounds great! It is currently residing in South East Pennsylvania with a buddy of mine.......he refuses to give it back!

Enjoy.

Actually, I guess I'm a little inaccurate. I'm ordering a copy of John Thomas's SJ. Short of some cosmetic differences, probably not too far off a J-35. Gibson is confusing!

About a year. All good things take time.

I'm going to pick it up at his shop in about a year.

And I have had absolutely the opposite experience. Dale makes a fine guitar and his communication skills are excellent.

All of the Fairbanks guitars I’ve had a chance to play (which is three, so far,) have been world class instruments. While I haven’t yet owned any guitars built by Dale Fairbanks, I’ve spoken to him a few times. I also have a friend who owns a music store and who’s had multiple successful transactions with him. That store owner is a very perceptive guy, and I know for a fact that he wouldn’t have any business dealings with Mr. Fairbanks if there was anything even remotely hinky about Dale’s build quality or business dealings.

So I know those two gentlemen, but I don’t know anything about you, vidmac, except that you’ve got some sort of ax to grind here. Maybe it’s justified. Maybe it’s not. But I can’t say that I’m wildly enthusiastic about anonymous character assassination attempted by someone writing his first and so far only post on the Acoustic Guitar Forum.

So if you have a legitimate complaint, give us some more information. If you’re “too shy” to tell us any more than the little drive-by attack you just posted, you’re nothing but a.....

Naw, I’m going to keep it courteous. This time.

Sincerely,

Wade Hampton Miller

This is an old thread and I don't feel the direction it was taking was going to do anyone any good, so it has been closed. Thank you.
