I used to own a modern (x-braced, all-solid) J-160E with the stock P100. It didn't sound like an acoustic when plugged in, that's for sure... more like an electric jazz box, very thick and meaty. Plugged into a Vox AC30, I could totally nail the feedback intro to "I Feel Fine" too!

They’re just dead sounding, I can barely get any volume. Maybe they’re faulty in mine, but you get what you pay for. I really think that it’s a nice sounding guitar otherwise.
