They all look nice in their own way but man the veneer on that X20 really stood out to me.

Also agree - the X20 is pretty cool. I had been going back and forth for weeks on a new build that had the exact same veneer as the X7 with the sapwood 'wings' (for want of a better term) but I just couldn't decide between X7 & X10, nylon or SS, and pickup. Then after picking up Evan's X10 nylon slim I tabled the whole project as I was then one CF heavy. Now that I see it in person I'm sort of glad I waited. While it's a looker, I find I much prefer the X20 veneer. Not that I'm the market for any more Emeralds at this point! I still need to sell at least one!!

I like that X7 with the hooks too. I almost picked that exact veneer! It sure looks nice as a finished guitar...not sure yet if I'm second-guessing my choice.

All gone, but one..................................That was fast. Have to wait until August to see it again.

Later...........the Amicus is still available and I'm tempted--but my wife says she will not do the tuning for me, so that's out.

All gone. The popularity of the select series has amazed me relative to the production ability and the demand. Alistair is on a roll.

I presume that there will not be an August series since Emerald will be focusing on the new X10 electric.

Crawling out from underneath my rock, ‘new X10 electric’?

Did I miss something?

Eatswodo;

Apparently so. My previous 10 electric was slim but not thin and was passed along to someone who liked slim. Alistair was not overly enthusiastic about a 2inch thin-bodied, nylon string, electric/acoustic guitar.

And so I threw a several month hissy fit and a petition was started to get Alistair's attention. Eventually I shamelessly persuaded Alistair to give me what I wanted for Christmas. I'm not sure which Christmas, but somewhere down life's highway I'll be getting a ten version of the X7 thin-bodied electric acoustic with a 1 7/8" nut and a Barbera active pickup.

There's a long thread regarding this guitar in which Tom2 suggests that the scale, radius, nut width, and so forth make this 10 the only guitar like it in the whole world--I can hardly wait.

Aah - I certainly was aware of this one. I mistakenly thought you were referring to a new standard model, rather than your custom order.

I hope they do get on with it for you, because that will free up time for them to build my x20-7

Should we go by deposit date? I might be at the front of the queue if that's the case.
