Default Guitars in stock - August 2018

Sponsors (luthiers/builders/manufacturers), what guitars do you currently have in stock for sale or available from a dealer?

(Note: Sponsors only, please. I'll unstick this thread every month and start a new one to keep things fresh.)

Default Padouk 000

Pomelle figured padouk with an Adirondack top, Blackwood biding and bridge and overlay. The sides are laminated. It is heavier than your average 000 partly because of the laminated sides and partly because of the padouk neck which is VERY rigid and which gives the guitar great sustain and balance. You will love the sound of this instrument.

String length is 25.5 inches
Fingerboard ebony
Gogoh tuners with rosewood knobs

Price 5900.

Beautiful guitar, John!

I looked on your website, and maybe I missed it, but didn't see it shown there.

What is the price for this beauty?

All of your standard 000 specs?

GLWTS!

Thanks Neoman

It’s not on my website because I have been lax in updating that thing.
Base price is 5200. It has two and a half bevels which I normally charge 500 for but will let it go for 350 each so lets just say 5900.

I’ve got this very lightly used, all mahogany, model No.03, built back in 2012 kicking around. I’m looking for a quick sale on it so it’s priced ridiculously low.

$1900 usd

Message me for details.

In case someone doesn't know yet, John Kinnaird builds FANTASTIC guitars, and this Padouk 000 is in my opinion a steal. John recently built a Pau Santo 000 for me (Pau Santo is also a very hard wood) and the guitar is amazing. Fantastically clear and balanced, great sustain, nice overtones but not too rich. A champ.

I demoed this guitar (several times) at Woodstock last Fall and will say that it's a beauty in looks and sound. I had an incoming commission at the time and currently have another build in the "finish" stage or I would be quite tempted. Someone will be happy with this 00, best with your sale John.
