Gorgeous guitar, Tom! John done you proud with that gem. I absolutely love the rosette against that burst. I'd pull the guitar out the case just to stare at that. Very nice!

Ken

Hey come to B.I.G. and we can hook you up with something, I think 49 years of work equals at least one guitar of your dreams!!!

You know, honestly, sometimes I feel like I have always taken care of everyone else and now I think it is my time.

Thank you sir, I appreciate that. I am getting pretty excited to see this in person, I think the depth of color will be so much better in person.

Well, we are all set to ship next week, I should have this on Thursday. I know it looks great, all that is left is to tune her up and see what Persimmon does besides look good!

This guitar is just spectacular! I haven't been able to lurk much here, then I show up and see this. It's simply gorgeous!

Thank you Mike, it is a beauty.

Well after a little shipping issue and some back and forth from Texas to North Carolina, the guitar is back to me here in Texas and I wanted to give a report.

The outside you can see for yourself and personally, I think it is gorgeous as so many, including Mike above, have noted. The bevels as Paul knows make the guitar extremely comfortable to play and makes the guitar feel smaller than it is. I really like the way John does his sound ports also, there is a flange about 3/8 inch thick protruding inward that makes the whole construction seem more sturdy and I wonder if it helps to focus the sound coming from the port as well.

Sound wise, holy mackerel, John has made a winner. Anyone wondering if Persimmon can make a good guitar, well it might, but I can say it also can make a fantastic guitar. This seems to be a workhorse. Initially, playing it fingerstyle it is very balanced with wonderful sustain and complexity. Then I thought, let me take a pic and see what happens, YIKES, step back because this thing will knock you over, the whole room filled with sound. The last time I felt like that was when I played Juston's Maple Circa last year, I thought that was the loudest guitar I have played, well, it may have met its match.

Now loud is fine, but loud and great is better. This is loud and great for sure.

Thank you John for a wonderful instrument. I personalized it with the inlays on the fretboard and headstock which makes it even better.

Happy Holidays to all, this is a nice X'mas present for me.

Congratulations, Tom, and a round of raucous applause to John for building such a spectacular guitar for you! It's always gratifying to see when a superlative instrument is matched up with a superlative human. It makes you feel like everything is right in the world.

I just love the way the rosette emerges from the burst on the top, and that oval inlay on the back. My sense of Phi proportionality is perfectly satisfied, looking at this guitar.
If this guitar had wheels on it, it would be a Lamborghini.

Default Awesome!

Looks and sounds like it's awesome, Tom--can't wait to see it in March!

At first I was confused when you took a pic to see what would happen. Couldn't figure out how a picture would knock you over?! But now I understand...

So now, do we have a video of the big reveal when Kathy opened it?

Wow, you guys are needy LOL!

Let me see what I can do. I did take a video as I had Kathy unwrap it, rather than show that whole thing, I did take a screen capture of the most pertinent part and can post that here.
