Default Cannonball Rag - Merle Travis (Cover)

Hi everyone,

Here's my cover of Merle Travis' Cannonball Rag. I based my cover on a video of Tommy Emmanuel playing his version. I hope you enjoy listening and find the tab useful!

All the best & have a nice Sunday,
Basil

Hi Basil,

Nice job with this and when you get under the hood, there's a lot going on. This is a fun instrumental to play and I use it as a warm-up song. Really loosens the fingers, don't you think? Thanks for posting it.

Hi Barry,

Thanks a lot & I fully agree! It often is the first song I play when picking up the guitar, gradually speeding it up. Really great as a warm-up.

All the best,
Basil

Sounds great and you made that sound achievable! I have that tab in a Chet book or two and I always went "nope" when I'd start to dive into it.

Thanks a lot! I'm happy to hear that you find the tab useful. I aimed to keep it simple / straightforward. If you have any questions, just let me know.

Cheers,
Basil
