A final SALUTE to General Colin Powell. Proud to have served under his leadership in Desert Storm.

RIP.

Did you take this? Pretty epic. Either way, nice tribute.

No idea who took the original, but here’s the story. Great photo, and a fitting tribute to a great man.

A shot of my bike in eastern Washington State, on remote roads north of Prosser, three years ago. I think we averaged seeing another vehicle every 20 minutes or so.
PS — some incredible photos in this thread!!!

...aaaaand one more of my bike in front of this, obviously, very old, long-closed little drive-in, also in eastern Washington state.

My father was in the 10th Special Forces Group when they were in Ft. Devens, Massachusetts.

Good work. One of my oldest (in years) friends on the Left Coast, long retired from Fresno State, was pal and colleague of Ansel in Sierra Club work.

Thank you. I have nothing but admiration for Ansel Adams and would have loved to meet him in person.

In the early 80s, Ansel Adams was a frequent passenger on my shuttle bus, near Carmel, CA.... He was an engaging friendly guy, with sincere interest in those around him, and told great stories from his past... He began his career as a high school photographer..... He was a cool dude!

I've had a couple of squatters taken up residence during the day in my garage shed over the last few months.
The joey on her back was tiny back then but getting around pretty well now.
Around dusk they jump out of the shed & straight onto the phone lines to head out on their nocturnal ventures.
