Default Being Retired Has Perks

It’s been a hell of a year and a half for many of us with the advent of COVID-19 in March of 2020. It caused my wife and I into early retirement, totally ahead of schedule. But you know what they say...let’s turn lemons into lemonade!
My grandkids are growing like weeds and the missus and I decided to do something we did when my children were young, and that is take them RV’ing!
So this week we traded in the Hyundai Santa Fe for the larger Palisade with a tow package and then picked out a perfect Jayco 22’ ultra light travel trailer that will be ready for pickup in one week.
The maiden voyage is Sept 10th to beautiful Barnagat Bay on the Jersey shore. The kids are going to love this.

Bruce, these are built in Indiana, U.S.of A.
Do they have Jayco trailers in the land down under too?
And yes I do agree, it looks really sharp in person too!
Thank you buddy!

You should have a blast with that. We have some friends who retired, sold their house and most everything else, and bought a big RV. They've been on the road ever since, and loving every minute of it. They stop at a place they like, stay for however long they want, then move on. It'll be cool for you to bond with the little ones and show them places they'll always remember.

Evan, my children, now well in their thirties, still to this day reminisce in detail of the RV adventures Erin and I would bring them on as children. I hope the grands over the next few years enjoy it as much. Thanks!

That’s terrific Bruce! And both companies have excellent reputations in the field. Who could ask for more.
Do you folks call them trailers or caravans?

Ghostnote,Erin and I used to dream that dream also. And honestly, maybe someday, but not now. We are much too attached to these two kids! All we want to do is be around them for now. It’s keeping us young! bahahaha
