My all time favorite is my Lauren Brondel 0 in Italian spruce over Quatamalen rosewood>

A Taylor 552ce cedar topped mahogany 12 fret 12 string. Unslotted. Don't own one yet, but I've previously played and enjoyed them, at least the x-braced version. Not currently looking, but you never know.

The cedar top intrigues me. I have a 5 string ukulele (the Kala ATP5), cedar over acacia, and it sounds tremendous. It's easily my favorite ukulele.

I've had two: Larrivee SD-40 and Martin 000-15sm. Loved them both, but the Larrivee Dread was just too loud for me, so I had to let it go. Both of these guitars models are a blast to play, so it's a tie.

My Martin HD 28vs is a beast. Recently fell in love with it all over again.

Also have the frequently mentioned 000-15sm. Very different but a fine guitar in its own right.

No 00 or 000, but the two 12th Fret Dreadnought Martin Authentics (D1 & D28 1931) I played are amazing. They made my 000-15SM sound like a toy. I know it probably sounds like an exaggeration but really, those two recalibrated my ear and that 000-15SM was no slouch.

I played a Taylor 612CE twelve fretter that I absolutely loved. I fully expect that to be my next purchase. I think it would fit nicely into your stable.

In that case I'll re-pitch the Taylor 322. Reason being is that it has a hog top with blackwood back and sides, so it's going to give you a much different tone than either your Larrivee/walnut or Martin/rosewood.

The 322 is almost like an all hog guitar, but the blackwood allows a lot more resonance and crispness. It's a nice change of pace from spruce/mahogany which is why it's still in my harem.

You might check out the Taylor forum for comments on it, it's a popular guitar there.

For a production guitar, I favor the Collings 000-1A. Schoenberg has offered some great 000 and 00 12 frets as well, but each guitar has had it's own character. The ones made over the past 20 years, primarily by Bruce Sexuaer and Robert Anderson, are definitely worth looking into.

For a few years I was playing nothing but 00 12 fretters. Santa Cruz makes a great 00 12, very lightweight and resonant. Their stock sitka over rosewood with slotted head stock is wonderful and their all-mahogany 1929 series are also something quite special. Martin made a special run of 00-18VS UMGF guitars that were sitka over mahogany that were also awesome. At one time I owned all three and all were very good. While the 1929 lasted the for it's wonderfully dry and woody tone, the Ambertone Martin with the quilted mahogany back and slotted head stock is probably the one I miss the most. It pops up here on occasion.

I like the 322ce Taylor. Blackwood/hog. Looking at a 712 Roadshow 12 Fret currently but it’s still living at the store.

I have a Blueridge BR-162 which is a very compact and great sounding guitar. When I injured my fretting hand bad (cut 5 tendons and the median nerve) it was about 5 months before I could even try to push down a guitar string. It was also hard for me to stretch out to a full size guitar.

I got a BR-162 and my awesome luthier (Ron Kayfield) did a fantastic setup on it to make it as easy for me to play as possible.

It's hard to find a nice 12 fret that is not a slot head; this one fits the bill nicely. It used to be really cheap too but has gone quite a bit in price since I got mine.
