I clearly did a poor job marketing this the first time I posted it. It has everything you would want in a song - heartbreak, suspicion, loneliness, and a nod to Smokey.

And it's re-recorded as a one-take live video, so no more messy synch issues.

I hope you enjoy (and I get even one comment):

Dave,

This is awesome! Great job on this! It's very nice to see and hear you!

Is this an original song of yours? If so, it's very well done!

Congratulations!

- Glenn

Thanks for watching, Glenn. And thanks for the kind words! Yep, it’s an original (except, of course the last 1/2 of the last verse). Happily it is fictitious.

Cheers

Dave

Hey, wow! Thanks! If you really liked it, you can find the other version somewhere in the show and tell area. It’s different in a couple of ways. The music is cleaner with more guitars, has a consistent beat, etc as I recorded it with a multitrack. The video is embarrassingly bad, however, as I did a pretty hack job of lip and guitar synching.

Regardless, thanks for watching and the nice note!

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,
What a sad situation that you're describing in your song! You have a beautiful voice, but sometimes you seem a bit shy and a few notes are out of tune. It's not a big deal, but if you were a little bit more confident, I think your recording would be perfect. Your nice song deserves it.

Hi Zelig. Thanks for the observations and advice! And of course thanks for the compliments on the song and voice. Your suggestion on what to focus on will be tremendously helpful for my next one of these and the next time I play this song for others.

Cheers!
