Default Guitar Port By Line6

Has anyone tried these out yet? I know we have some POD fans around here, but I haven't heard anything about the Guitar Port. It looks like a good learning tool for someone like myself who needs serious help on the electric.

Just curious if anyone has tried it.

I just came across the Guitar Port today as well. I'm bummed that it is PeeCee only But advised them that there are lot of Mac-heads in Pro Audio.

Looks like a cool tool/toy!

Did you watch the Shockwave demos? You get to hear a bunch of sounds there (maybe also in the HTML demo, too).

Ordered a POD Saturday, should have it this week!

The guitarport is pretty much a reduced amp/effect/cabinet set from the POD with a USB interface like POD Pro, bundled with a software kit which allows you to do some neat learning things with your computer. It is all 24bit like the POD Pro.

Meridian, if you are a tweakhead like me, you'll love POD. There's so much to do to shape your sound with the thing. I was playing with it today and fiddling with cabinet changes on classic amps. I remember spending years trying to get a decent amp sound and then having to learn to record decently. If you read the manual, you can get dialed-in on this thing in minutes, and then spend hours trying out different combinations of things just for fun.

Actually, Bob, your review of the POD on your website was instrumental (pun unintended, but hey!) in my placing an order for it. So, yeah, I am looking forward to it. We may be on opposite ends of the political spectrum, but have the really important things in common!

I have a POD and love it. That is part of the reason I am interested in it. It looks to me like it could be a excellent learning tool.

One problem though, I am almost embarrased to say that my computer at home doesn't have a USB port. Guess I need a new computer before I could use it.

You can get a $25 card for USB ports. Works great...

Found 'em.....never mind.

I was using this "I don't have USB ports" as an excuse not to buy one of these things, but nooooooooooo.....you guys have to screw that up for me.
