Anyone own a 714BCE LOTF?
I've never seen anyone speak of one, and there are no pictures in the gallery!
Is this such a rare beast? |

Wasn't this asked in another thread? IIRC, the LOTF Brazilians were only 814s & 810s. Of course...I could be wrong...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...
taylorman (Dave), if you have one... it's either a "one off" or a counterfeit! ( )
According to the Fall 2000 issue of 'Wood & Steel', the LOTF series included: 310-K 310-KCE 314-K 314-KCE 410-MA 410-MACE 414-MA 414-MACE 810-B 810-BCE 814-B 814-BCE ...and that's it!!!!!!!!!!! Why do you ask?

If by LOTF you mean 2000, then there arent any.
If you are using LOTF as an term for limited edition, didnt they make Brazilian 700s a few years back? But it MAY have been before they made the GA...maybe it was 95, or 97? But I dont know if they made it that year...ive seen 710Bs from that time period.

Saw this on ebay, no LOTF squiggle, but definitely 714BCE...seems it was a 25th anniversary special (like my 414RCE).

I have a 25th ann. 714 BCE. It is gorgous! I read somewhere about Brazillian Rosewood that if it had any green color in the grain it was a better quality. This has it. If I knew how to get a picture of it posted here, I would let you all see it. Someone said a personal website was needed to post pictures here. Oh well, that eliminates me.
The sound, to me, is incredible. It blows my old HD-28 away. I am still experimenting with different stings. The last few sets have been Martim SP's. I thought I might try GHS next. I would like to try a slightly more mellow sound maybe. Any suggestions?

Harry I see you have the Ultrasound amp. How is it working for you? I just bought one myself, including the AG50E, ext. cabinet, so far I am really impressed.

ednotes02,
I really like my Ultrasound. I have only had it a little while. Like you, I bought it sight unseen and unheard. The reviews I read sold me on it. I am impressed at how small the unit is and how little it weighs for being such a power house. I was talking with Dan Gore on the phone and he told me that it was actually rated at 62 amps. Of the several brands of acoustic amps I have played, it is the most natural sounding. I turn the effects off and the bass and treble to the middle posistion and the volume down. After strumming a cord, I raise the volume and the sound is the same as the guitar, only louder. With the other amps it wasn't like that. They all sounded like an amp. Know what I mean? I read your post about getting the complete package. I had planned on writing to you about it. I can only imagin how much the ext. cab adds to it. I plan on picking one up in a couple of months. With the ext. cab and a mixer I think it will make a really nice PA system. I was playing my 12 string through the amp for about an hour today. Never even got around to playing around with the effects. I had a blast. The headphone jack is a nice bonas, I can play at night without waking everyone up. I think this amp will be a keeper. Are you going to use yours solo or are you in a band?
