My preference for playing in a band is a Fishman mini with a powered PA speaker. That gives you from 60watts to 1000watts. Why the mini? You can use the mini for a monitor and DI to the Main PA and/or bring your powered PA speaker for sound enforcement.

I'm honoured to be a new featured artist for Fishman Amplifiers via our AGF Sponsor, Pacific Guitar Sales! This just happened yesterday so I thought to share it here. Jerry at PGS is a gem to work with, excellent selection , prices and customer service. I've purchased three MIJ Taks from him and now he is my Fishman dealer too!!

I have a Fender SFX Acoustic amp and love it. Of course I'm playing a D-35 which is known to have great tone, vrs the Taylor which is notorious for sounding bright. I'm also using a L.R. Baggs Lyric pickup which also may be adding to the great tone I'm getting out of the Fender amp.

Here's a quick video sample of the SFX and D-35 combo.....

A Carvin AG 300 fan here. Play electric or acoustic bass through it for non drummer acoustic gigs. Play a coffeehouse because vocals sound good through it. Fiddle, mandolin, ukulele? no problem. Oh, it's a great acoustic amp too.

Fishman is my second choice. AER, Schertler, etc., are way more than you want to spend.

Haven't had the pleasure of playing through the Carvin yet. Will add it to my list!
