Nah, as soon as I see someone taking that silly rokstah stance, I pass.

It was cool with Paul Kossoff and co, back in 1970, but , no, not now.

I spent too long behind the drums watching posers I guess -but Free were good saw them a number of times, but they would have been better with me on the drums! (but I was in Nemesis at the time)

I have no interest in all the classic rock stuff I grew up hearing day-in/day-out.

What got me into acoustic guitar are the guys who pushed folk into new territory (John Fahey, Robbie Basho, Sandy Bull, Peter Walker).

But I'll share this. A modern dude who died too soon...

Andy's (Rehfeldt, not you!) videos are spoofs of the original, where he recreates all the music, but using a completely different genre. Hence, Metallica doing smooth jazz, or 80s pop group A Flock Of Seagulls doing metal. A tongue-in-cheek response to the topic: "your favorite songs in different genres" and something you might appreciate, if you're turned off by the rock star bravado.

Thanks for sharing your lists!! I'm not gonna lie, I'm having too much fun looking up all these songs. For a beginner like me I feel like I need to step out of my comfort zone and explore other genres or styles of music to grow as a guitarist.

How about any Flamenco or Bolero-style songs? Or 70s Latin Rock favorites a la Santana?
