Default Free Online DADGAD Fingerstyle Workshop

I'm going to give a roughly one-hour online workshop at 3PM Pacific time, Sunday April 12. My plan is to do a quick intro to DADGAD tuning, and then to walk everyone through my arrangement of the Beatle's tune "I Will". Tab and handouts will be provided. The workshop will use Zoom, and you can join in via webcam or phone video, or even just call in by phone if you want.

To join, please pre-register via eventbrite:

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/doug-yo...s-101999172270

You'll get an email with how to join the workshop, and I'll also mail out handouts about an hour before the workshop.

This is a bit of a test of doing an online workshop, so it's completely free, and I'll be interested in feedback on how it all works from the attendee's end. Hope you'll join us!

P.S. If all works well and people find it useful, I'm thinking of making future workshops be donation-based with funds going to some COVID-related charity. If anyone knows of anything intended to specifically support musicians who are being impacted, please let me know.

Hope it gets recorded. I don't pick things up very well the first 100 times I go through it.

I plan to record it, or at least try. If it comes out ok, I'll share with attendees somehow...

Thank you Doug. I'm signed up, but Easter family celebration may not allow me to duck out for the live lesson. A recording would be wonderful!

I didn't realize when I set this up, that I had picked a date that was Easter :-) Time is sort of at a standstill right now.

I have it set to automatically record on my end, and supposedly individuals can record to their local computers as well. But we'll see, this will be a learning experience!

All set to go today, hope to see some of you online. Crossing fingers that Zoom behaves and works well for this kind of thing.
