The forearm contour comes in really handy if you're playing for a really long time, much like an acoustic bevel. I would have gone with a "belly contour" in back if the B-Bender back plate weren't in the way.

I like the comfort cuts and the balance with the strat horn. The other corners are tele-sharp on this one.

The ergonomics and looks are certainly a matter of preference. I was on the phone as soon as I saw this for sale - and I wasn't the only one. I was just the first one to make contact, so I got it

Guitarists and bassists often ignore ergonimics when it comes to guitar/bass design, how they wear it, and their technique. I'm a small guy with small hands, so I need to be on the money or I lose efficiency. Before the 2nd kid, I was in bands and it wasn't uncommon to play for 3-4 hours at a time. That's where the ergonomics began to be worth their weight in gold.

Having been "around" for a while, a lot of guitarists put so much focus on looks and dogma. My most accounts, my Tele should sound awful since it has Fender Noiseless, 6 saddles, and Nashville pickup config with 7 way wiring.

I saw this many moons ago and started drooling. My only gripe is that the Parsons-Greene style of B-Bender doesn't work. They now make drop in levers for the bridge, which I plan on adding to the G string. Duesenberg makes a bridge that has multiple levers, too. I don't think either of these were available when I ordered my guitar below.

I ended up with this.

I've played electric guitar for over 30 years, and have owned just about everything at one time or another, and my American professional Telecaster is probably my favorite electric of all time. It is a wonderful instrument.

Congrats! You are a good Dad! And please, post some pics when you can!

Charter members can do it directly from their computers, but registered users can post pics by using the AGF app or a third-party source like imgur.

Jed, if the pics are in your phone, log in and go to the thread where you want to post. Click to add reply in the edit box. At the bottom of the box, you'll see several choices. One looks kinda mountains. Click that icon and it will take you into your phone camera and you can pick the photo(s) of your choice.

Well guys, he got the Tele Pro tonight. It was a great feeling for me to see his face. He played for 3 hours straight till his fingers were hurting...haha.

One thing I didn't pay closer attention was the fret board material. I got the maple and he seems to like it over his rosewood guitars. Should have asked you guys more questions about that but, oh well. I think I got it right. I think it looks better with the natural color.

Thanks again Jed

Without joining picture posting site or app/program, I cannot post pics. I’ve tried several ways. Not working unless I use off site resources or something.

I've found Flickr to be easy and convenient, posting with a laptop. I don't post tons of pictures, so I stay at the free version.

Congrats on your Tele gift! I think the maple neck was the way to go.
