Default Telecaster or Stratocaster?

I know this is an electric guitar question, but which do you prefer?

I'd be interested in the responses. I have no idea how the two differ other than appearance.

I have both, but I prefer the tele. I like the simplicity. But, my two semi-hollows are loved equally, which is funny to me because they are not as simple as a tele. My tele has a humbucker in the neck. I find the normal neck pickup of a tele a little thin at times. I can split my humbucker and create the single coil sound when I want it.

Neither, not a Fender fan. I will stick with my SG.

Telecaster for me. Just something about it that I love. I have a Strat, a Tele, and a couple of Les Pauls. I’ve always been more of a Gibson guy, but find myself reaching for my Telecaster a lot lately.

Never had a Tele, but I had a Strat - so I guess that's the answer. I really preferred my old white Gibson SG to either, and the ES-345 to all of them (which is no doubt why it's the only one left). The Fenders were a little to thin sounding unless they were loud, and I didn't love the neck. But Clapton seems to do OK (even if his best work was on Gibsons).

A Strat has always been my go to electric, I find the shape and the contour of the body more comfortable.

Strat... I like the contoured body, and that middle pickup Jerry Garcia sound.

The answer is always Tele, unless it’s a Jazzmaster.
