Default Anyone play Fleetwood Mac Never Going Back Again?

I'm good with the whole song at original speed but for one chord that makes my right hand fingers freak-out sometimes. It's the part in bar 3 which is repeated throughout the song. Mechanically simple enough but when I'm half way through the section I miss a bass note or the 3rd string. Song is drop D capo'd at the 4th fret. Chord name could be Bbm7b9\Db but I suspect Lindsey just found the pattern sounded cool and fits in the song.

Has anyone who plays this song have any suggestions on how to approach this? I've played it slow many times and even then my fingers want to go rogue on me though I can do it. I wouldn't feel comfortable performing the song any faster than 90% of the original but even then I'd have to concentrate on that part.

I'm not sure I know what is giving you problems. Not that the right hand is simple but for me it's the left-hand stretch in the 2nd part.

It's weird because the thumb is only doing 8th notes on 5 4 5 4 and fingers 16th notes on 1 2 3 1 2 3 1 2 etc. I do more difficult things than this but for some reason the fingering is awkward for me.

That guy has it down. Before my duo started working up a Fleetwood Mac set I never gave Lindsey much thought. Now I have a whole new respect for the man.

I've been working on it, but not up to speed. But yes that one stretch hurts. And I've noticed more recently, Lindsey perhaps as he gets older and his voice drops, now puts his capo lower. Last I saw he capo'd at 2nd fret.

I this found to be a much more approachable lesson:

NGB is always a popular song in my sets. For years, I played a "fake" version, in C, which got my fingers going in the right directions but I always knew wasn't quite right. Then I finally saw the above video--d'oh, drop D! I can play it correctly now!

Some of the best lessons on the web in my opinion.
He makes it a point to play things authentic to the original.
Love his stuff!

And for those whose fingers just can't make the stretches', there's the alternative version by Mark Hanson:

The handy thing about that tuning - it is the same that Leo Kottke used for "Owls", so now you have an extra reason for doing it....
