Personally, for the fingerstyle music I like to play anyway, I would reverse your time allowances. Perhaps 15 mins 25 minutes on random exercises, and the rest of the time working on actual tunes.

Really try to nail tunes for the most part. Work on slightly more challenging tunes over time (or you may occasionally go for it on a more advanced tune where you may still learn some new things). When playing actual music you will be working on things you won't likely be working on in isolated exercises such as: volume control of individual notes (melody versus harmony for example), accenting, phrasing passages in a musical way, note damping on a string or strings, and simply learning methods for memorizing tunes.

It would probably be helpful to record and listen back to some tunes you feel you have well under control.
