Default Kent Mandolin

Anyone know anything about a Kent Mandolin? I got one today for well-under fifty. It plays pretty well. Nice sound. All I can find out is that they were sold by J.C Pennys in the late 60's. This one was made in 68, according to the info inside.

I gather this is the same question posted in another forum. As I said, there never was a Kent Guitar Company which is why it is tough to find anything out about the instruments. The instruments were made in Japan and later Korea and then brought in by a distributor who marketed and sold them under various names.

Zomby, thanks for the info. This is a surprisingly rugged little instrument. Doubt it's worth much more than I paid for it as far as "the market" is concerned, but it's alot of fun to play. I'm not really into imported guitars, but I think I'll hang on to this for awhile..lol.
