Best Reverb pedal

I was looking in my old cupboard and found a MXR chorus pedal that I had brought a couple of years ago and tried it out again.
It was one of thier analog pedals. I was quite impressed with the quality of this pedal.

I understand they have now brought out their own reverb pedal the M 300.samples I have heard are amazing.
I would love to purchase one but they are almost double the price of their chorus pedal. So they are not cheap but you are talking real quality.
Has anyone ever tried these on an etectro acoustic guitar?

My big pedal board has several MXR pedals on it, but their reverb pedal is not one. I've read and heard good things about that particular reverb pedal and want to try it myself.

As for the title of your thread, I think there may better reverb pedals out there, some of which come at a much higher price point. Just look up the Strymon Big Sky.

If you end up with that MXR reverb pedal, please let us now how you like it.

I also have a faux spring reverb pedal called a Warmpler pedal which is very nice.
Also have a TC Electronic HOF pedal which is good but no way near as good as the Stymon Blue Sky or the Warmpler OR the MXR.

I think it must be a new addition with the MXR. As I don't remember them doing straight reverb pedals before. But from the samples they sound supurb.

I have an early Holy Grail reverb pedal that still can keep up with the best of the newer ones, it really excels at spring reverb sound, perhaps not the best for acoustic, but it will conjure up classic Fender spring verb. I also have an older Digitech Handwired verb that is amazing, now discontinued, an even better value used, just perfect plate verb sounds, very good for acoustic ambience. A pleasant surprise is the newer Boss RV6, it's different vices, spring, hall plate etc are spot on and the built in delay makes it a pedalboard real estate saver, it sounds very good in any application I've tried so far. Lots of options, these are the more humble ones, and not all that $$$ but in a live band mix, will do you right.

We're running everything through the Specular Tempus. Drums, bass and A&E guitars, vocals all sound fantastic in stereo.

I have a TC HOF mini reverb on my board... It's easy. It sounds great. You can customize and download different reverb scenes... but that's been above my pay grade so far.

I recommend this little pedal. Great reverb in a small footprint.

Another vote for the specular tempus. Had a strymon big sky and timeline for a while but sold them when I left the covers band I was playing with, electric and acoustic, to focus on my own songs in an acoustic solo/duo/trio/quartet format. The strymons seemed like overkill in that context. The specular tempus is perfect - great sounds, can use both reverb and delay, but not the paralysis that can result from endless tweakability.

I have settled on the strymon Flint.
tried hof and a few others. The flint also
has tremelo. i also added an mxr carbon copy
delay . The two in moderation are great.

I'm a Strymon fan. I have the Timeline and the Blue Sky (not to be confused with the Big Sky). The Blue Sky is great. It is much cheaper (by about $150-200). It has a wonderful sound. You can have two presets. That's my only beef. I wish you could save about five. But I use it mainly for electric. The hall and plate reverbs are just gorgeous.

I dislike spring reverbs usually. So I use one setting on the plate and one on the shimmer, which is similar to a pad sound.

You can get the Blue Sky for about $230 or so used.

My board is mostly Strymon. The Big Sky is one of the best purchases I've saved up for. I use it mostly for electric but it may edge back into my acoustic playing.

I've been using a Boss RV-6 that I really like. The Modulation and shimmer settings are super cool for some ambient reverb sounds in addition to the Spring/plate or hall settings.

I also just got a Neunaber Seraphim Shimmer Reverb pedal that I am going to try this weekend.

Not a big reverb guy, I like a lil' delay more working as a soloist. However, there are a few songs I like to use it on such as Sailing by Christopher Cross and Wreck Of The E. Fitz., so I've been using a Neunaber Seraphim for about a year and half and am very pleased. The shimmer adds a nice synth quality, but for noisy venues it gets lost and is not worth using...good product tho!

I just tried the Seraphim tonight for the first time. Switched in and out of the Shimmer. Good sonic space environment outdoors. It was Surreal and super awesome. The Reverb withOUT the Shimmer is also very very nice. I'm pretty happy. I also have a Boss RV-6 I can compare and an original TC Hall of Fame which is good, but I don't think its as good as the Nuenaber Seraphim Shimmer or the Boss RV-6. I might have tried the Baggs Align reverb, but the pedal is huge and very pricey for a basic reverb without other settings.

Here is the new Pedalboard. I wired it up today and tried it tonight. Superb! (Side bar: Love the Red-Eye Preamp. The Clean boost is sensational! )

That's a sweet n clean, very effective board in achieving an optimal tone without too much effects and processing, I like it.
