Default Couple questions for no reason.

Sunday morning, finished my coffee and a little guitar playing. Now I’m just relaxing in my recliner after pulling a 24 hour shift yesterday. Ever have a guitar you love so much, you can’t understand why everyone doesn’t own one? When I get asked if I play guitar I always tell them I’m learning to play. I’m wondering when I’ll be able to just say yes I play.

There's a lot to be said for recliners, as I sit here in mine whilst typing. Have a great day.
Best,
LarryK.

I believe we all think that at some point.

With the numbers of guitas manufactured and sold I can't imagine how everyone doesn't have a guitar either.

When you can play a 3 chord progression you can tell them you play. Everyone is always learning no matter how good they are.

Not at all since we all have different passions.

The recliner sounds like a great idea. It's my favorite spot in my house to relax.

I was talking about a specific brand and model, not guitars in general.

Once I close the doors to my law practice later this year, I may end up calling my guitars “my practice.” Or jealous mistress.

When I play my Taylor 320 I just can’t believe I don’t hear other people talk about how great it is. It’s a beautiful Mahogany Taylor with a Martin growl. Now granted I haven’t played many high end guitars so this is just my opinion. But to me it’s an amazing sounding guitar that I think anyone would enjoy.

I have a couple of guitars that would fit that criteria, but I realize that sound is subjective and there are so many great options, right now. For the last couple of years, I've been playing mostly for enjoyment and a form of relaxation, rather than pushing myself further as a player, so if asked, I would answer that I just "play" (not explicitly learning or practicing, although I suppose I am working on improving my technique, even if I'm not learning anything new).

I couldn't play guitar in a recliner, just doesn't work for me ergonomically.

What I can imagine is lounging in a recliner playing saxophone. A C-melody, I think, just to be weird. Bottle of Highland Park on the side table. That would be okay.

I have two guitars at the present time. I think everyone should be happy with them. I realize that there are different tastes and what pleases me would not please everyone, maybe not anyone. That is why there are so many different guitars.
When I had just started playing someone asked me if I was a musician and I said "no I'm just learning". A woman I know was listening and jumped all over me. She said," you are a musician. I have heard you play. You may get better but you are a musician."

When asked if play guitar my standard response is “I doodle”

Unfortunately the rugrat is now old enough to commender the recliner. We will need to have a conversation soon
