Default Pulled my pick guard off in a drunken stupor

Ha I realized I don't use a pick so why the cheesy plastic pick guard.
Now my guitar has to get a sun tan to fill in the farmer tan it got from when it was on. I think she is going to look beautiful. Was wondering what folks thought as to the area where the pick guard was? Should I put a clear plastic one on?

Set her in non hot sun to try to beat the tan line. Take Napthia to it first to make sure the glue is all off. I hate clear pickguards. Cool or naked.
