Articulate is probably the best word I have heard to describe these guitars. Incredible clarity and responsiveness.

I love mine! I commented on a post earlier today that the SC Tony Rice is voiced more like an OM as opposed to a dread. Very sweet And balanced...not bass heavy. Great Fingerstyle dread!!!

Congrats Reely! What a great acquisition. Santa Cruz guitars - just crazy about ‘em. Richard Hoover’s crew has the touch! Hopefully you will enjoy the TR for many many years.

What year is that one? Not a stock pick guard (or custom order)?

I like "cutters" as you mentioned so I dislike SC strings. They sound very broken in to me. It skips the loudness and brightness of a new set of uncoated PBs. That's the part I like, I change mine every two weeks or so.

As far as that Tony Rice guitar, that is awesome. I'd love to have one someday.

Congrats sounds like a winner, I got one like it myself.

Santa Cruz Tony Rice has long been my favorite SCGC model.
