I only have one mug to my name, a 2017 mug to go with a 2018 X20, and to be joined later by a used 2017 X7 but I didn't get the mug from that one. I have no idea how it fits into the genealogy of Emerald mugs, but I know it didn't really fit under the naked portafilter in my espresso machine well enough to use for daily coffee - I made a couple the first few days I had it and gave up on that. So I quickly turned it into a desk accessory for pens and rulers and scissors and such. That way it's within eyesight most of the time and it seems happy living in the same room as the guitars it's related to.

Probably also less likely to meet the fate of Jim's recent addition. You could look at it as good luck - like stepping on and smashing the glass at a Jewish wedding... Or you could look at it as a broken mug.

Default A wrap-up to the tale of the mug...

My Honey felt bad about the broken mug. She not only repaired it, she put some of what excites me so much about my Emeralds into the repair...

Ergonomics!

That handle that was thinner than my other two mugs is now thicker and curvier - it fits my fingers. The three broken pieces have been molded into the repair.

Here's the story...

To fix breakfast does it have to be broken first?

That's better than getting it fixed under warranty!

If I break off my Mug handle, or 3 of them (by mistake of course) can she fix mine as well?

Joan said, "Absolutely." Well, as long as you aren't breaking them just to keep her busy.

And for Evan: yes, she makes breakfast; almost every morning (since we retired). She is a great cook... and likes to start my day with a good breakfast. On the rare days she doesn't cook, I take her out. I don't do much cooking... and she'd rather I didn't mess up her kitchen. When we were working, I made my own breakfast... never tasted as good as her cooking.

Many mornings, I make music while she makes bacon and eggs... it's an arrangement we both like.
