recommendations for nylon strummer
I strum a guitar with my fingers....just can't hold on to a pick real well. Thinking about trying out a nylon, if I can find one with:
-neck similiar size to a steel string -sound..loudness -price What would you guys recommend? Again, I don't fingerpick, I strum. Durability....do nylon guitars hold up under that style? I know nothing about nylon string guitars. Thanks in advance! |

I would suggest a solid spruce top. Cordoba Fusion, or Cordoba GK Studio, or Yamaha NTX 700, or Yamaha NTX900.

Here is what the smaller, less loud version, the NS72ce-LTD, sounds like: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=8930202 Last edited by Herb Hunter; 04-16-2010 at 01:07 PM. Reason: Fixed Link |

Nice stuff, Herb. I hope my NS72 sounds like that when it comes.

Take a look at a Takamine TC135SC or, if you prefer a wider neck and shorter scale, the TC132SC work nicely for strumming as well.

I had a Taylor NS 42 CE which was good, but I prefer the tone (and the price) of my current Cordoba GK studio. Excellent guitar.
With the money I made selling the Taylor, I bought the Cordoba and a Seagull steel string Performer High Gloss cutaway folk with spruce top and flamed maple body. Both brand new,. So far, I have no regrets ! |
