Default The Outsider

Surprised there wasn't a discussion on the new HBO show, The Outsider, based on the Steven King book.

It's 3 episodes in and it's great so far. Reminds me of the first season of True Detective a bit. And Jason Bateman's direction is very good so far.

I have the book but haven't read it yet. I have all of Stephen King's books except his newest. So many of his works have been turned into movies or tv shows.

Glad to hear that the Outsider show is good. I'll have to watch it, but starting from episode 1.

Totally agree.
And I didn't know at first that it was based on a Stephen King book. The first two episodes last week were shown back to back, and I found out after the first one. That's when it all started to make more sense....
Episode 3 was terrific, especially direction wise.

so far so good. I really enjoyed most of the book (ending iffy), and am enjoying the series. Only problem is waiting another 7 weeks for a finish.

Saw 1&2 by chance flipping channels. Never heard of the book, but the strangeness grabbed me-I'm hooked

Yes, the book came out in 2018.

There was another recent tv show / mini series that is based on King's 11/22/63 book. It's based on someone going back in the past to try and stop the JFK assassination. Great book and the tv show was really good (I can't recall the name of it ... unless it is 11/22/63).

TV Series was called 11/22/63, James Franco starred in it and the actress who played Sadie was very watchable.

Yes she was. I just googled her. Her real name is Sarah Gadon.
