I like the design and woods. Question... What is the purpose of the longitudinal brace joined to the lateral braces on the back?

Wow! That is really beautiful. Love the shimmer of the mahogany. This is a very similar bracing to MIchaud's, just that it isn't floating haha such clean nice work

Thanks OddManOut...this has some nice subtle figure. I'm undecided about a few of the other appointments but it'll come.

Yeah, I really like the design. I averaged a lot of guitars and this is the size/shape I gravitated towards. It resembles an Olson a little but he flattens his butt out more and my shoulders are more sloped on this one. Close to OM territory in look and size. The longitudinal brace will provide more stiffness...it will better keep the arch in the back. This will provide more stiffness in the center longitudinally and "looser" on the perimeter. Its going to sound killer!!

Thanks Marcus. I love it too!!! Subtle but its there . Yeah, so many people do variations of it that I wouldn't even know who to thank haha...I'll just say "I'm thankful to those who've come before me that were willing to share it on the internet and/or forum".

I don't have time to have this at the Memphis Show sad to say. But it will be done shortly.

Here is a simple little taper jig I made for the fingerboards and the acoustic neck profiles.

Here are a couple pics of this top, which is sitka spruce, and the rosette close up.

This top and rosette are very beautiful up close and personal.

More later.

Hey Kevin, I like the back as well, but I really like that top.

Hey Steve,

Yeah, this is a really nice top. Going to really be nice sounding. This one might take longer getting to the finish line since its a spec guitar. But, I'll keep moving it forward as much as I can.

Really like how clean the work on the body's inside looks - very tidy and precise.

I think I have an indecent relationship with figured mahogany. I love them all. I'm multimahoganyamorous!

I think that might still have to go in front of the supreme court to be legal

Haha...funny. I love them too. Not only for the look but the sound. Just something about it. Nothing like the Tree stuff, though .

Yes, this back/side set is no slouch...not as heavily figured as the Tree, but this is some great stuff to see up close. Its so colorful.

Hope you all have a nice day!

I got the sound hole cut out in this one too, and put the black inner line on the sound hole.

And a cool pic to show the warmth of the mahogany and the warmth of the rosette.

Have a wonderful Friday.
