What software are you using? How did you get the WAV file? What are you trying to do? What software do you have accessible? There are some free applications out there that can help you. Have you trying google?

I recorded my acoustic guitar using my Zoom H2 in 16-bit 44.1kHz format. The H2 ONLY creates STEREO WAV files (and MP3 files, but that is not relevant as I need to use WAV files).

I need to convert the 16-bit 44.1kHz STEREO WAV file (track) I created on my H2 into a 16-bit 44.1kHz format MONO WAV file (track) as I want to import individual audio tracks (files) into my Tascam DP02 PortaStudio and the ONLY tracks (files) I can import into the DP02 are 16-bit 44.1kHz MONO WAV tracks (files).

I use iTunes on an iMAC.

Download Audacity. It's a "Free Cross Platform" music edtiting tool and it's really good. I've been using it for a couple of years and like it alot. What you can do is play your stereo piece through Audacity. Just set it up for Mono before you do and while playing it you can re-record it in mono.
