https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=534711 To mount a 4099 or something else? If its for a 4099 I doubt you will find anything better suited. Usually externally mounted mics for guitar (eg Audio Technica Pro 70, K&K Meridian) come with their own attachment i.e sound hole clips or a clip on brace like the 4099/Meridian. It can be difficult trying to find something that will work that isn't especially designed for the purpose.

Reading the above link from a couple days ago is why I posted this. All negative feedback for the mount and I was hoping for some more favorable feedback. Guess not. I currently have an internal mic and JJB 330 inside one of my guitars. I made my own internal mount for the internal mic. Although it worked well with my DTAR Solstice blender, I plan to remove them both since I only play at home with that guitar now. I suppose I will have to make my own external mount for the DPA since I can't seem to find any good feedback for the DPA mount. Doesn't seem to be Worth the $43 to even try it. I want to be able to externally mount the DPA 4061 on any guitar and blend it or use it solo as I choose. Last edited by j.blay; 01-21-2019 at 10:44 PM. |

I have two of them. If you play seated and not banging in a percussive style it works.
When standing, I would always bang on the back of the stick, making the performance stressful. I think it is more aimed for classical concertists than rock'n roll band. Anyway it will feedback if you play rock loud. Apart from that, the tone is GREAT. Here is a picture of Christoph's smart holder. not very complex to make if you have access to a 3-D printer
