Finally it arrives, Dehradun
It was a long wait of unexpected delays, customs and other issues, but finally after ~3 1/2 years, my Dehradun arrived. My first guitar with a redwood top. I was smitten by the new Modern style guitars, and wanted something different when I ordered this. It turned out pretty cool.

Congrats it looks awesome. They use great woods on those Dehradun guitars and they sound as good as they look.

Overall yes. This is my first redwood topped guitar and wasn’t sure what to expect. But thought it would be a good compromise over cedar from what I’ve researched. It can take a flat pick pretty well with more aggressive strumming. I’m learning to slow down a bit and not be so aggressive with my attack, and you can hear the sweeter sound. I’m more into alternate tunings lately.

Quote:
They changed the cities agreement on rosewood and think my guitar sat almost a year because they could not ship from India, but not exactly sure. In a previous time, I would have gotten angry, but I’ve had a lot of changes and challenges with life, so really didn’t hassle them about it. It was just a guitar, but glad I was patient.

Hi Robert, I posted a longer response about the long wait under another thread (the one welcoming DGC as an AGF sponsor). Man you really were patient, and I really am grateful! You have the dubious honor of having waited longer than any other customer before or since. I do hope the guitar is treating you well. I'd be happy to take a look at it when I'm in the US this summer. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns about it. Thanks again!
