Just moments away from strings! Gorgeous fretboard and the binding/purfling on the headstock looks very classy to me.

Looks like the A-2 is complete. This guitar will be on display at Woodstock. The A-2 is Laurent's most popular guitar and for good reason. The model has unusual bass depth with excellent projection in the mids and trebles. The sound is clearly informed by a vintage Martin OM, but it has its own thing going on.

As a reminder this is German spruce and Panama rosewood. I guarantee anyone that tries it at Woodstock will be impressed.

Looks like the Brazilian D-1 will have strings very soon. The bridge is being glued today. Oil varnish finish on all these guitars - my personal favorite of all the finishes I've experienced.

Done 'n strung D-1!

Long scale. Should sound thunderous. I guess you'll have to visit Woodstock to know for sure!

Can someone enlighten me on Laurent's oil varnish? I've briefly owned one of his guitars and was super impressed with both the tone, finish and neck shape. Is this a biohazard spraying or simply a gunstock oil hand rub?
