Nothing screams more 50's or 60's Americana than surf or sea foam green.

It's funny to me, but those color combinations -- that cream with the sea foam green -- look WAY better to me today than they did back in the 50s.

If you think that's a combination my father had a '56 Mercury Montclair convertible in "peaches-&-cream" two-tone, with matching interior/white top and full power (steering/brakes/windows) - and while I'd consider the one in the photo, I'm a bit disinclined to take the stage with the match to dad's old wheels...

My grandfather drove that car in that color.

It's actually a great color combination for both the car and the Harley. It's makes for an attractive machine.

That combination of colors might be a little much for me on a guitar, but separating my own prejudices from pure art, the Gretsch guitar looks pretty cool, too!

Regarding cars, my dad was very conservative and also not a big spender, so he would have never had a car with a two-tone color package like that. But I knew people who did. The auto industry had a lot of style back in the 50s. Even as a kid, my siblings and I were always looking into the car show room windows when the new cars came out to see what they looked like.
