Default Favorite spruce & mahogany dreadnought

What is your favorite spruce & mahogany dreadnought? Mine is the Martin D-18, or else I wouldn't have bought it. But I want to know others' favorite in this wood combo. Appreciate all contributions.

The ones I own in no particular order:
-Martin D-18 CS Adirondack '35 Sunburst
-Boucher SG-42-MG Master Grade Adirondack
-Yairi DYM60HD 50 year old aged Honduran mahogany
All great guitars and all sound different.

I've had a D17M and a D18 Modern Deluxe. Both were excellent. The D18MD sounded superb in particular. I love me a spruce/mahogany dread.

My favourite is my McNally (adi top).

A couple from the maker’s insta before it was shipped:

The one that haunts me is a Santa Cruz Vintage Artist that I played years ago.

My 2022 Martin D18 (1935 Sunburst). I’ll admit though that I still regret not buying the used Collings D1A that I played last year. It was likely the finest dread I ever played…. I snoozed and loozed…on that one

My 2008 Bourgeoise Country Boy Deluxe-D I just bought off a forum member. Extremely tight, clear and loud with beautiful sustain.

Walker Wise River - slope shoulder, short scale Adirondack/Honduran mahogany. Without a doubt the best I have owned or played.

Dreads give my old shoulder injury fits so my favorite dread is a slightly scaled down version of a slope shoulder dread. A German spruce and Honduran mahogany Prairie Grass by Sparky Kramer. Tone wise it is closer to a D18 than a Gibson and great projection. It is a great alternative for me as I’m not a bluegrasser so don’t need the volume that a guitar like a full size dread or super jumbo bring.
Best,
Jayne

Without getting into custom builders which opens up many more doors and makes this much more complicated, I would say my favorite mahogany dreadnaught is my dads '68 Guild D-35. Well broken in and aged top, richest high end I've ever heard and ringy highs and it probably is the best playing acoustic guitar I've ever played hands down. He gets all of his guitars setup, but most guitars just don't come out this nice.

As for a guitar I could go out and buy brand new? I am going to go with the Guild D-40 as well. The D-18 has a ton of low mids and strong string definition and is at its best when picked hard. It is the original and still a staple for a reason. The Gibson Hummingbird sounds great when gently strumming chords down the neck, but it's not great for leads or playing hard. Also recent production models are super hit or miss. The D40 is the best of both worlds and will sound great no matter how you play it. Honorable mention to the J45 if you record a lot, those guitars just mic so easily.
