Default Oh what a night on BBC2!

I made a mixed fish and vegetable harissa with rice and tsatsiki tonight then we sat down to watch whatever rubbish was on tv ... but ... at 9.00 until 10.35 a docu on Lida Ronstadt called The Sound of my Voice. wonderful, if rather sad.
Then an hour long "Old Grey Whistle Test" concert of Linda recorded in London in 1976.
Then "Sisters In Country" an hour of Linda, Emmylou and Dolly about the two Trio albums.
Then (!) EmmyLou Harris -The Ten Commandments of Country" with Tom Grey and Mike Auldridge (my all time favourite Dobro player) of Seldom Scene

Coming up at 1.25 a.m., EmmyLou and the Hot band - another Old Grey Whistle Test production from 1977. (I believe I was there!)

Late night but great music!!!

It was a classic era for Newgrass music.

I was and am a huge fan of Linda Ronstadt, EmmyLou Harris and Mike Auldridge. I got to jam backstage with Auldridge once, which remains a highlight of my jam session experiences.

It is a great movie for those of us who love her voice.

Funny connection: I used to go to a local venue in my hometown to watch bluegrass on Friday nights and got to see the Seldom Scene several times. I recently almost bought the late Mike Auldridge's lap steel guitar, before another in better shape caught my eye.

Goodness me, that sounds delicious. Never thought of putting harissa with fish!
