I think the great thing about these amps is the weight. If they start adding more power and larger speakers then they are going to get bigger and heavier.

LOL! I was wondering when you'd show up. Perhaps you're not crazy after all.

😎. Oh, I am a bit touched. Now I wonder why GC would have a new S1 this far in advance. The only thing that makes sense is that I was wrong. I think….

As some who uses 2 Bose S1 speakers almost daily, this is very exciting. A little more power would be excellent.

Smile Knobs please…

Am I the only guy still gigging who does NOT want my phone at the gig?

It can stay in the car, where I can find it when I really need it…. And it doesn’t ring in the middle of some tender love ballad! Although it has rung a couple times as I prepared to start Chantilly Lace! HELLOOOO, BABY! Hahahaha

I want analog knobs, not a digital screen.

Preferably nice sturdy black knobs with BIG bright white indicators. I find a LOT of recent gear a pita on stage in a dark venue.

I have high hopes for my recently ordered QSC CP-8.

A JBL EON 1 just went back to Sweetwater after one gig. It sounded quite nice, but the silly lighted controls were not for me.

And, how long can one expect the digital platform to be supported?

Grumpy Old Fart here! Hahahaha

I used to feel that way but the CP-8 only has a volume and high pass switch. Since I always have my phone on my mic stand I really like app control as long as the app is easy to use and reliable. EV got this right.

The S1 Pro Plus just became available. I should have mine in a couple days and will test it out on Mondays livestream.

I'm not a gigging musician, but I'm 100% with you on this.

Look at all the prized gear some of us have that's 30 or 40 years old or much older. If that gear depended on apps to run, it would have all been in the scrap heap long ago.

Fair point but what about the convenience that app control gives you? It can be really useful to walk around and adjust the sound from a distance.

Thanks Aaron for giving us early demos as always, please A/B it with the Everse 8 if possible! Also curious if it's comparable volume-wise

I will do. I don’t expect it to be quite as loud as the EV but if it’s smaller and lighter and the wifi works well then it will be great!
