NGD Gibson 50’s Original LG-2

This beauty arrived last week. I bought it used. Very clean and tidy. 2021 and everything had been left standard. The set up was pretty good but yesterday I filed a couple of the nut slots and lowered the action at the saddle a little more.

I had a 50’s J45 and love the neck on my current J35 which is similar. The neck on this LG-2 is a chunky one just like that. They are just really cool guitars that are fun to play.

Wish it didn’t come with the Baggs Element pickup and I might consider putting a batwing pickguard on at some point.

As I'm uneducated on these guitars could you explain the difference in sound from each other? Thanks

The J-45 and J-35 are the same in woods and body size. The bracing pattern is what’s different. I find the 35’s to be brighter and punchier than the 45’s.
