Default colour strings and Amp

HI all,

The wife got me a preloved Stagg A1006-BLS Elec-Acoustic it would seem that previous owner has put replaced the B string with an E, ends are colour coded so the second give away, first give away was the B did not sound like a B, even tho the string tunes to B.

it does have a hole I assume for a button for guitar strap (fretboard side) some muppet put a screw and washer in behind fretboard. oh well for a first Elec-Acoustic I am sure i cant complain to loud.

Colours are as follow
Blue-6
White-5
Red-4
Blue-3
white-2
white-1

Would the Ibanez IEGS61 Electric Guitars Strings - Regular Light Gauge be suitable? wanting light as my finger tips without warning snap if you will, can ony describe it as kickback with a chainsaw or other kind of machine.

my second question is amps your thoughts
Laney $723 -$599 without extras - $779 normal price.
Fender $699

Laney A1 plus 80W inc Bag and 2 button switch

Fender 2313803900 Acoustiasonic 90 Acoustic Electric Guitar Amplifier 90w

I thought the fender as it has seperate volume controls, but the Laney has send return.

Your thoughts please

The Ibanez set that you mentioned is for electric guitars. You could put them on your Stagg, but the tone would be less than optimal. I recommend a set of phosphor bronze acoustic guitar strings, like D'addario, in light gauge (.012) or custom light (.011).

Regarding amps, I'm not familiar with Laney. But I like Fender amps, so I think the Acoustasonic would be a good choice.

Rotosound used red, white, and blue for their color codes.

1, 4 Red
2, 5 White
3, 6 Blue

Thank-you we have this brand at local store

13.40 a pk or 35.90 3 pk with free strap
prices have reduced as previously it was more expensive to buy the 3 pk.

sadly our music web sites have an awful lot to be desired and nice to know things are missing from their descriptions

still in a quandary about the Amp situation as so often I will leave a store and the shine has gone
