Default The Rain Song

I found myself playing a gig that called for rock tunes and I knew I would have a cellist and a violinist with us. So I decided to try The Rain Song. It was a very brisk day, about 50 degrees when we were playing

That's very cool. I liked it a lot.
Having said that, I would never play something like that at gig.
I noticed the typical ambivalence of the passers by.
Just the way it is, right?

There were folks walking by that didn't care a bit about the music for sure, but probably a couple hundred folks sitting on hay bails behind the camera. It was an outdoor hot air balloon festival with lots of stuff besides music going on so yes in a lot of ways that is the reality that you deal with.

I was happy that they had enough of a budget for me to put together a band instead of doing a solo or duo.

Thanks! while we were working on this I watched your guitar tutorial,I took your version on the bridge. The piano player is my wife, the string players work with us on a regular basis on our wedding ceremony gigs. They are all too young or from different schools of music to have any knowledge of this song. I had to convince them that it would be cool to learn.

I wish it would have been a little warmer and perhaps I would have played the ending a little cleaner, but still pretty happy that we could pull it off.
